Alright- I have a 2 hour MP4 that needs to be converted into an AVI. so that I can edit it in Windows Movie Maker. Thing is, I converted it using MP4CamtoAVI. But it didn't change the video codec. So I downloaded a codec pack that plays MP4 videos.
So now my MP4 video will play now (instead of being a black screen-) but Windows Movie Maker won't import MP4 videos. So when I tried to import the AVI. version, it gave me the "Windows Movie Maker Has Stopped Working" Error that Vista is so famous for. (But it will import other AVIs. Just not my converted one. Why? And can I fix it so that I can edit it in Windows Movie Maker?

(And keep in mind I have Vista- in other words, Windows Virus. >_<)
