  1. I made a test video on my digital camera (fuji f30 640x480, 30fps)

    I opened it with powerdirector and also with premiere pro 2. I both saved it with the DV - AVI codec, and also with divx.

    The powerdirector files looked fine, but the premiere files looked plain ugly with too much artifacts, not sharp.

    Is there something to keep in mind to achieve nice results in premiere? I prefer premiere due to its editing options which are way better than power director.

    Post a sample, but I suspect that Premiere is probably being honest with the image, and Power Director is somehow hiding the flaws.

    A simple test would be to output uncompressed from Premiere to see what it looks like.
