  1. Hi folks.

    I purchased an HD video camera last fall. I quickly found out that my 5 year old PC is not up to the task of editing/authoring HD content.

    I'll be transferring the video via firewire. I'll then want to edit and author onto HD DVDs (I'll be buying an HD writer later, when prices become reasonable).

    So, please recommend minimum hardware requirements. Memory? Hard drive speed? Processor speed (dual-core?)?

    Get an Intel 6600 with 4MB of L2 Cache on it.

    1GB MINIMUM, 2 GB Preferable RAM

    2 HARD Drives - 1 Smaller on for Windows and apps, and 1 large (>500GB) for video data.
