I already know that dvd santa sucks but thats the only program that will encode my movies. Instead of using Convert X to DVD and convert the same movie like 8 times to get the auido in sync I just use DVD Santa and encode it like 3 times and the auio sync probs are fixed, I would try antoher method but im lazyAnyway now everytime I try and encode a movie or any file an error message comes up after a few seconds and says
\
Error Signature
AppName: dvdsanta.exe
AppVer: 1.0.0.1.
ModName: xvid.ax
ModVer: 0.0.0.0.
Offset: 0003d928
any ideas?
Cheers

That you need to use any program more than once to get audio in sync means you don't really understand the process. You should be able to get your audio in sync first time pretty much every time.
This error tells me two things. One DVD Santa comes second only to WinAVI in the crap software steaks, and two, the activeX decoding control for Xvid is the cause of the problem.
If you are really that lazy, try re-installing, and then call DVD Santa support if that doesn't work.
If you want to get better at this, try reading the stickies concerning audio sync issues in the Newbies and Newbie Conversion forums, then start using better software.Read my blog here.

Thanks a lot chap I did as you said and got rid of the Xvid codec and got a new ver. I don't care what every body says DVD Santa rulez. Convert X To DVD is cool also but I have to use TMPGEnc to make it auido sync up right. I read a tutorial here not to long ago about syncing your auido and video tried it didn't work for me so I just keep encoding with different encoders it works for me thanks again
Cheers
