I downloaded an AVI file and put it on an external hard drive. The file wouldn't open with my video player (VLC). When I go to open it VLC crashes. I tried moving the file to another folder and it wouldn't move either, it made Windows crash.
Figuring there's something wrong with the file I tried to delete it. Wouldn't delete, at first trying to delete just made Windows crash. But I've just tried again and got an error message that says "Cannot delete file: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again"
No other programs are using the file. I've got similar files on the HD and can move and play them fine.
I've just downloaded Move On Boot to try to delete it that way but it didn't work.
Has anyone got any suggestions on how I can remove the file?
Thanks

Use a software called Unlocker.
Here it is:

Use unlocker and if there is no locking handle choose to delete in the options at reboot.
