I will be relocating to the Dallas, Texas area and wondered if any of you have any good or bad providers?

Every city has it's own provider. I had no problems with Charter, used them for about 5-6 years with no complaints, but it's not available in every single city in DFW.

Verizon's FiOS is available in many places if you want some face-meltingly fast speeds for cheap prices, I'd recommend them first. If you can at all avoid it do not go with Grande Communications. They own the lines in many of the apartment complexes and they are a total monopoly. They charge more than Verizon and for speeds 1/6th or less than theirs.

FioS if you are lucky is SO AWESOME but most likely you'll get either Roadrunner (which seems to finally be getting things under control down time wise since the switch over) or Verizon DSL.

Some areas are SouthWestern Bell though I'm sure they have DSL but that I'm aware of no fiber offering.

If you are TO far from the major towns like me you are screwed and have to hope for a wireless provider.
