I try to add subtitles to my dvd movie and i know how to do it using PGCdemux Muxman & Vobblanker.

The problem is when i use PGCdemux i press on the "Check A/V delay" but all i get is:

    "Audio_1:None.
    Audio_2:None.
    Audio_3:None.
    ...."

(I know that thre are 2 audio streams.)

So i try to ignore this and continue but when i remuxe the movie thre is a delay in the audio.

I used this methood before and never get this thins.

How can i correct the delay?

    Thanx in advance

  2. Muxman allows you to set a delay of up to +/- 300 ms. Or you can get rid of the delay entirely by using DelayCut on the audio before authoring.

Hi manono thanx for the replay

I know that muxman repair audio delay but the problem is that i dont know what the delay is.

I try to use DelayCut to fix it but i get "NotFixedDelay 0.0000".

So i try to use ReJig and i get the delay in the filename:
    "AC3_Audio_0xBD_0x80_Delay_51971ms_CorrectedTo0ms. ac3"
    "AC3_Audio_0xBD_0x82_Delay_52067ms_CorrectedTo0ms. ac3"

so the delay in one file is "51971ms" and in the second "52067ms".

muxman can only get 300ms delay.

    so what can i do?

  4. I don't use ReJig, but it looks to me like it removed the delay, judging from the filename. You should be able to tell, as a 51000 ms delay is 51 seconds. The PGCDemux AC3 audio should begin pretty quickly, while the ReJig one won't start until at least 51 seconds. Also, the filesize of the ReJig one should be larger than the filesize of the PGCDemux one, as 51 seconds of silent audio has been added to the beginning.

Here's a way to figure out the amount of the delay yourself:

Open an out-of-synch VOB file in Media Player Classic. Right-click the screen and go Options->Filter->Audio Switcher->check the "audio time shift" box, and fill in an estimate of the amount of asynch. Hit "Apply" and test it out. Negative values are to make the audio play earlier. 1000 ms= 1 second. Resume playback. Adjust until you get it right. At that point you'll know how much the audio is out of synch and how much to set the delay in DelayCut.

When all done, either uncheck the box or set the audio time shift back to 0 in MPC.
