    I am replacing my DVP-642 player it finally died but worked great and played just about everything I put in it. I need to know the best replacement if anyone could help it would be much appreciated thanks.

    There is no correct answer here...only opinions. For price, go with the 5140 or 5960. Just do a quick search here on the model number and get a quick heads up on any issues each model is experiencing incase it happens to be something you want/need.
