I need to film this weekend and wanted to try out shooting day for night, since shooting at night right now will be extremely difficult. I have Premiere Pro 2.0 and After Effects 7.0 Pro. I'm pretty sure that I would use After Effects to do this, but I have not had very much experience in this program. Does anyone have a tutorial for this? I found http://www.toolfarm.com/tutorials/dayfornight.html but all that seems to do is cast a blue tone over everything. Thanks!

That is pretty much what day for night has traditionally been. If you want to see it done really badly, watch the later scenes in Deliverance, where they tried to optically replace the sky as well - bad news.

You can help the shoot by using a neutral density filter that pulls at least two stops off the camera, just to reduce glare. Then it is a matter of balance and colour correction.
