I recently bought a video to usb cord to use with my nanny cam so that I can watch kids downstairs from office computer. It works perfectly from about 9 pm until 6 am, then scrolls and wiggles during the day. Any ideas why this is happening?

Is there a large place that uses fluorescent lighting around 9AM? Office block? Factory?
-
yes, but even when the fluorescent lights are not on during the day it doesn't work.

It is almost certainly some type of electrical or radio interference.
How are the units linked? Wireless, or hard-wired? If wired, that pretty much takes radio out of the picture.
The time frame would point to A/C or some similar heavy electrical equipment. You don't by any chance start taking X-Rays at 6 AM? -
it is all hard wired, it's just a home so I can't think of what electrical interference is going on. We have a swamp cooler, not AC but it is on at night also. Thank you for trying to help me. It is so frustrating because the picture comes in perfectly with color and all at night but is black and white and scrolling and flashing during the day.

is the cam near some electrical device that is on when the kids are down there? tv etc? is the actual cam wifi or does it have a wire all the way upstairs to the computer?

the camera is wired all the way up to the computer and there isn't anything electrical near by.

any chance the cam wire runs next to electrical cords at some point, a cordless phone or speakers?

?? don't know what's on when there. maybe move the cable around during the day to see if you can clear it up.
