I use the Tmpgenc 2.02 encoder with the standard Svcd template.
The result was good except during stills and very slow motion. It seems that at slow video bitrate the sound stutters and you get dropout and speed variation.
By modifying the template i cure the problem.
Set the minimum bitrate to 1000 and enable padding, now the sound did not contains anymore variations or dropouts!
I am not shure that the DVD itself was faulty as in another forum i read that the same input materials (miniDV avi) encoded with a Philips authoring package runs perfectly.
The problem must be in the encoder parameters that are not fully compliant to the Svcd standard!
Anybody has the full standard description?
