Hi everybody.
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but search results haven't returned what I'm looking for. The thing is, I downloaded a movie, which I want to burn to DVD including subtitles, but when I run it through Subtitle Workshop and Windows Media Player, it just lasts nine seconds (it is not interrupted. The progress bar reports that length). Other players like Zoom or VirtualDub report the movie's full two hours. The main problem for me is that I can't adjust the subtitles since Subtitle Workshop has this problem, so I'd like to know how to fix it. Thank you in advance for your input.

What type of file? AVI? MPG? Something else?
If it's an AVI file, open it in VirtualDub. Set both audio and Video into Direct Stream Copy Mode. Save as AVI to a new file. Try that in Subtitle Workshop. -
It's an AVI file. I'll try your suggestion. Thanks a lot!
