  1. Anybody have firmware for Pioneer 122D (dvd-rom drive) ?
    Or at least the sites that provide downloaded firmware for this type.
    I needed very much.

    But I already knew this link .. and it's for type 122, while my dvd is type 122D (with D) ... I am afraid to cross-flash my dvd with different type dvd firmware.
    So thats why I need the 122D firmware ...

    Firmware for Pioneer DVD type 122D ... Dangerous Brothers site only has type 122P

    that is the link to official pioneer dvd-122 firmware. there is no difference other than color for models.. they only have one firmware for the 122 series. oh and btw.. i looked all over the net.. and i was only able to find the DVD-122D in china. i know its black.. but its strange.. where did you get it?

    I bought in Jakarta.

    Might it be different chipset with the general 122 type? Or just different color? (yes, its black)

    That makes sense. I would be very surprised if it had a different chip set.. but even so. the model is the important thing. 122 so i would not worry if you need to flash it for some reason the go ahead. BUT as they say if it aint broke dont fix it. you can get DVD-rom drives for 15 bux these days.
