  1. Hi, I just copied a vcd onto media compatible with my dvd player. Unfortunately, i put it in the player and all I got was a load of scrabled green blocks.

Anyone got any ideas - Am i wrong in thinking that you can just copy one vcd to another?

  2. Firstly, how did you copy? Did you do a DAO copy (e.g., using the "Copy CD" function in Nero, or CDRWin or CloneCD, etc.)?

You can definitely copy VCDs like any other CD and the best way is to do a DAO copy.

Now, how do you know that your media type is compatible with your player? Have you tried it before or was it from the "compatibility list"? Green blocks could mean (but not necessarily) that your particular brand of media is not being read well by your DVD player.

Do you happen to have an audio CD on the same type of media? If so, try playing that on your DVD player to see if it plays flawlessly...

    Regards.
