Hey, all. I'm trying to convert movies to a format in which I can watch them on my Kodak V740 Easyshare digital camera. I just thought it would be cool to be able to load a DVD onto an SD card and be able to either watch it on the camera's LCD, or plug the camera's video/ audio out to a friend's TV and watch the movie! 8) And, of course, I'm too cheap to buy a video iPod or mac compatible mp4 player. And it's neat to have devices multitask anyway!

(There is a company in Holland that has interestingly developed software specifically for this purpose, but it can only be used with Sony and Casio cameras and the software is Windoze only. I dropped a movie that my camera created into ffmpegx. I've enclosed a screenshot of the info ffmpegx garnered from the file. Kodak's website simply says that the camera's video output file format is "QuickTime (CODEC MPEG4)" as you can see on their website - http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/publications/urg00330toc.jhtml?chapsec=urg00330...1&pq-path=6629

I haven't had any luck as of yet encoding VOBs or .avi's or mp4's to a .mov file that my camera would read. Any advice is appreciated!

Maybe I should have just pm'ed Case on this, but I thought I'd give others a shot, too. And there are a LOT of folks out there with different Kodak Easyshare cameras, so if we can get this figured out, I'm sure it will be useful to others, too!!!
