    I'm trying to use DVD Architect to make a DVD using .avi files. Every time I try to use an .avi file, I get a message saying "The selected file is not of the required type." I've always been able to use .avi files in the only other program I've ever used, so why am I getting this problem?

    dvda comes w/ vegas ........use vegas to encode your avi to proper dvd specs --mpeg2 etc
