I was ripping a disc with dvd decrypter and I kept getting an error, I believe a copy protection one. So i decided to just quit and move on to something else, so I tried to cancel out of dycrypter.
I finally did an end task to get it to stop.
When I rebooted the pc, the playing, non burner drive will no longer reconize anything. If you put a disc in the light comes on for a mili second, but under my computer it says no disc. Also if I open dvd shreink it also says no disc. Even that little windows "what do you want to do" window doesn't pop up.
I'm guessing it's a device manager issue with the computer seeing the drive? Did i maybe un register it when the dvd decryper crashed?
Any help would be great.

Try deleting the IDE controllers from device manager (assuming this is an IDE drive) and reboot. When windows reboots it will find the IDE controllers and attached drives. It will then reinstall the drivers. When it has completed, try your drive again.
