  1. i have Pioneer DV-383 and my TV supports
only PAL DVD's (NTSC movies shown in black & white)

Is it possible to force PAL output with my DVD player when playin' NTSC DVD?
    is it true?

    ThanX!

I don't know about this particular model, but probably it is possible. Go into the Setup menu using your remote control and look at the video settings. Most DVD players that support PAL and NTSC have a default setting of AUTO, which means it sends the same output signal as the input it gets. For example, NTSC DVD becomes NTSC video output. Changing this option to PAL should fix your problem. Again I can't promise this will work, but a Pioneer DVD should have this option.

Yes, living in the USA will do that to your language skills.

I know that's not what you meant, but I couldn't resist making the comment. For the record I am American, so I think that does give me the right to poke fun at my own country.

    It doesn't.

But it does give you the right to be sued for making such comments.

Do you know how many American's feel personally insulted and degraded by your comments ? Don't you even care how hurtful you have been ? If not, watch Dr. Phil to find out when he interviews all the people who were personally affronted by your comments, and feel that they should be compensated by the courts for the incalculable pain and suffering you have caused.
