    hello all, i have a question today about movies that after i convert from avi to dvd
    and burn them to disk,, they turn out black and white .....Can someone out there offer an
    explanation or reason why this may be.......

    Sounds like you may be trying to view PAL-format video on an NTSC player. Can you provide more information about the videos, such as their resolution and framerate?
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    Probably PAL avis being converted to PAL DVDs and your TV can't handle the PAL signal.

    Check your source avi and converted VOBs with G-spot to see what the framerate is.

    i am using ConvertXToDvd to convert and Nero Rom 7 to burn

    The framerate i will have to check that out

    Make sure you have ConvertXtoDvd's output set to "NTSC" & not "AUTOMATIC" under "TV Format" otherwise it will encode to the same format as the input.
