    I was searching here but the results were old.

    Anything good out there lately regarding text to speech?
    Looking for free aps able to save wav's
    I think these things are great...


    PS - I've been recommending the att one but I think it's getting pretty old. I had readplease once, too

  2. There's one built in to Windows (Control Panel -> Speech). I don't think it can save to a file though. On most computers you could record the output using the "What you hear" source on the audio mixer.

  4. Yeah, it appear to be based on SAM (Software Automatic Mouth) which originated with the 8-bit Atari computers back in the 1980's.
