I'm looking for a program that will take screen shots of movie files. I'm not interested in something like Grab or other utilities that will capture the whole client area (in this case, snapping the player controls as well). I don't want to have to manually crop out the undesired portion. Is there something that can do this and then save in a lossless or HQ format?

Jeez, manually setting the content area to capture is a big deal?
what's next, you'll want the movie file to play, then transcode
itself automagically with the power of the one ring?
Capture ME is good for this, but requires user intervention.
Quicktime Pro can also export image sequences native
(PNG, JPG, PICT)
in the player, but requires minute user intervention
( you have to tell it where to deposit the files, and
the rate of capture in frames per second). yeesh.
