    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know when LG are going to be releasing true HD (1080p) LCD TV's in Australia? The current range (up to 42inch) only supports 1366x768.

I am having trouble finding information on this, but I'm sure it really can't be too far away - given the state of things.

I was thinking of upgrading my current set (LG Flatron 32 inch Widescreen CRT) but I'm sure I'll regret it later if I jump in now & buy the current 42 inch LCD offering. Does anyone know what sort of resolution I get out of my CRT anyway? It's only about 2-3 years old. I suspect it may not be that far behind the current HD LCDs anyway. The only thing that's tempting me is that you can now pick up the 42 inch HD LCD for under $2,500, which isn't much more than I originally paid for my CRT.

I'm thinking at the moment however, that it's probably worth waiting until the range comes with full 1080p resolution... Thoughts?

    Any help/advice is much appreciated...

Hmmm... Thanks for the heads up. In fairness though, I do have a lot of other LG equipment in my home and have never had a problem with any of it. I guess I'll have to keep that in mind. As I said, I'm thinking that I'm going to either:

    A) Hold out until LG bring out a 42inch 1080p screen; or
    B) Buy a 1080p screen from another manufacturer.

By the way, I now have the model for my current CRT TV (LG RT-32FZ10PX). The manual doesn't tell me what the max screen resolution is... It's currently hooked up to a SD set top box. Will I notice an improvement in the quality of the picture if I hook it up to a HD box instead? (I know that depends on the resolution, but I just can't find that info anywhere...)

    Thanks again...
