For some reason my Lite-on DVDrw drive no longer shows up when I start my computer. It cannot read anything and appears like it never existed on my machine. I don't really no much about computer hardware so i have no idea what to do. thanks

Go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager.

Under DVD/CD-ROM Drives, select the drive. Go to the Driver tab, then select UNINSTALL.

    Click OK.

Now restart your system. It should say "Found New Hardware" and reinstall the drive. That should fix your problem.

Thanks But I already tried that. It worked a few times but now the DVDRW drive doesn't even show up in there.
