DVD43 and burning to DVD+R conflict?

I've been googling all over using different combinations of my problems but have not been able to come up with an answer. My problem is basically, I install DVD43 and I can no longer burn to dvd+r. All the programs I try say my burner doesn't support it. I uninstall DVD43 and I can burn to dvd+r again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been searching everywhere. I hope my relentless searching hasn't made me careless and the answer is right in front of my face somewhere.

Uninstall it. This program hasn't been updated since May 24, 2006. You can use RipIt4Me to get the files to your hard drive and ImgBurn to get them to disc.
