hello. I have some old movies on my computer with bad quality. Is it possible to do the quality better?

Maybe. However it depends a lot on what is causing the quality issues, just how bad they are, and what the source format is.
If they are low quality because they are low resolution, over compressed files, then there is little you can do. If it is because they are simply from old tapes or old and scratched film then there may be things you can do.
Avisynth is probably the best avenue to explore. There are dozens of filters for restoring and repairing all sorts of damage. Virtualdub would be next, and also has lots of filters, but is more limited in how you might work with them in comparison to avisynth.
The restoration forum is the place to ask these queestions, so I will request a mod shift this post over there.
Shifted, thanks /OfflineRead my blog here.
