Just wondering if there are any divx playing consoles out there...so you don't have to convert a divx into vcd format. Or any DVD players out there that support Divx....
Been looking all over for one of these![]()

Not as of yet, but this will change soon. Archos is coming out with a version of thier little 10GB MP3 jukebox that will have a color LCD screen and will be able to play back Mpeg-4 video, as well as to output it to TV and record in real-time through a composite input, like a VCR. It is slated to be released in the next month or two.

Of course, you also could do like most of us and convert your clips to (S)VCD, a less costly alternative (and more fun!). -
The link will not work unless you copy it to your adress bar and get rid of the period after the .html (my bad).

My friends RCA DVD Players LCD screen has a Divx icon on it but it can't read CD-Rs. I want to find out why the DVD player has that on it. I've never tried a CD-RW I wounder if those work. The DVD player was made well after the crappy pay DIVX thing they had going.

please, only post to this if you can contribute. -
The price is TBA, but as an owner of one of Archos' products, I can tell you it will not be cheap. My guess is an MSRP of USD $400.
