Something Simple For Sure But Lost..

I have been all over the forums here and really haven't seen anything that relates to what i want to do.Is really quite simple i am sure,i have 2 clips that i have captured off vcr and have joined them together.I want to make a dvd out of these and i want to add a simple intro that says for instance welcome to Video help.com and for it to run for about 30 seconds before it launches into the clips i have put together.

I can handle simple or maybe even get a little fancy with a picture popping up after that intro can anybody point me in the right direction,thanks in advance.I need a title editor right or not.And how to use it if i am on the right track.

If you have your video already converted to DVD compliant MPEG-2, then what you are likely looking for is a authoring program. You can go with freeware solutions like GUI for dvdauthor or DVDAuthorgui. For payware, a couple of possible solutions are; TMPGEnc DVD Author for easy, or DVD Lab Pro for more advanced authoring.

Thanks redwudz i have looked thru a ton of guides them too.And i always go off in different directions i guess get distracted.I do have TMPGEnc DVD Author but basically all i can do or know is to feed it a mpeg-2 file and let it make a compliant vts file to burn.And add chapters at given minutes that is the extent of it.

What i have to get real quick is i promised this guy a video for a business he runs and believe it or not i know more than him about this haha.

Just want something in text to display for a bit for an intro,than into the dvd which i have no problem authoring with a compliant mpeg-2 file.

I have no clue how to use dvd author to add text to beginning of mpeg-2 file for me to author which may run for 15 to 30 seconds before the actuall clips thanks.Guides don't specifically allude to that lol.
