    What exactly is a DVD folder, and what types of files are in it? Can I just take the individual files themselves, and burn them to a DVD using say Power Producer and making a data type of DVD or is there special software required to burn a movie DVD so that I can play the DVD in a stand-a-lone DVD player?

    It is a special disk with a dotted line down the middle so you can fold it in half and put it in your pocket.
