    Vdub wont let me set my own custom format, I wanna set the resolution at 480x480, but i always get an error, what should i do??

    What capture card do you have? The formats are determined by your capture card's hardware and drivers. The only thing you can do is try installing different versions of the drivers and hope that one gives you more access to custom formats.
