I found a site that plays a good old song from Ferris Bueller that I havent been able to find to buy anywhere..

Anyway the site loads the song into memory somewhere then can be played over and over without having to download again. So if the song has been saved somewhere how can I save it permanently on my hard drive? Does anyone know exactly where the song is stored and in what format?

I hope this is the right forum? and that i'm not breaking any rules..

    Web Browser ??

    For Firefox ,
    C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\"FunkyStuffHere".def ault\Cache
Look for a file over 4Mb with time date stamp of your last page refresh.
    Rename to extension MP3

For IE... no idea, don't use it. Perhaps the Temporary Internet Files folder in the Local Settings folder.
Can't see it. Tools/Folder Options/View Show Hidden Files and Folders

I use IE and I cant find any relevant file in the temporary internet folder... its definitely stored(cached?) on my hard drive somewhere. Any way of telling what format it is in?

It should definitely be there. I don't use IE I usually use K-Meleon, but was able to locate it in "temporary internet files" folder for IE. Filesize came out to 4,866KB, which is around 4-5MB. It's an MP3 file.
