Ok, just wondering...
In VirtualDub you have the deinterlace filter "blend".
What kind of deinterlace mode does the same thing in TMPGEnc?
And another question:
Why is this if I encode an interlaced source to an interlaced MPEG2, the
resulting movie is unwatchable on my Pioneer DV-440 at any bitrate? The player does not deinterlace the source?
If deinterlaced beforehand and encoded as progressive no problem at all, even at a combined bitrate of 2828 (2700 + 128Kbps mono sound).
