dual layer dvd -r

Hello all i just purchased some dvd-r dl 8.5 gb disks, but it seems when i burn some of the larger movies i am missing files not included or endings of movies are not being recorded, i wasted a number
of disks today already trying to figure this out.... It is usually when the movies come in
folders Disk1 and Disk2 this happpens... I am using Nero 7.7.5.1 Platnium

Is there settings i have to ajust or change

1st: Never use nero for burning DL media.
2nd: You should be using +R DL as -R DL was not designed for DVD VIDEO.
3rd: Alway's use Verbatim +R DL.
