Can anyone help me out. I'm needing a DVD burning software. I need one that when creating menus it will let you have an image on say the left side and have a list of the episode titles in text that you click on to view each episode? I'm using Nero now - not sure what version - and all it will let me do is have text under the thumbnail images for each video and I can't stand the thumbnails covering up the backgrounds. Thanks.

TDA2 (or 3) will within a second or two generate a menu with everything editable (text buttons, image and text obejcts from file, motion or still background/audio from file etc.). If you have DVD folders created in any other software and just want a better menu you can import that project by titles keeping chapter information, then select a template close to menu type you want (without thumbnails, I also hate them) and edit it using your graphic files. Then you test + output project to DVD folders and burn it with Nero (there's also an option for burning from the program).
If you just have MPEG2 DVD files you can completely author your DVD without learning much (using wizard). That's one of the most time-saving but flexible enough solutions.

GUIForDVDAuthor is free and can easily do this, however you would have to encode the videos to DVD spec yourself. HCEnc is a good option for this.
