Hello everyone:
I have a laptop, an AMS Tech TravelPro 2500 Serires (I know, it's like a dinosaur now,), which had 96MB RAM (64MB + 32MB). I added more RAM by taking out the 32-MB memory and replaced it with a 64-MB one.
Now, when I boot up the computer, it does not perform the usual memory test any longer. However, the memory is all there. "System Information" indicates that I now have 128MB RAM, which is what it should be (64MB + 64MB).
I wonder why the computer does not perform the memory test and whether or not this is some sign of trouble.
Also, does anyone know how to change the CMOS battery on this laptop? I opened it up and located where the battery was. But I could not figure out how to remove it. It seemed "glued" to the socket.
Thanks
