Movie endings after converting wrong

Hello!

I've installed ffmpegX the first time to convert a .mov to .mpeg.
It works fine, but the ending is .mpv not mpeg or mpg. I can play it with VLC Player, but my friend want mpg, not mpv.

I think, i make something wrong with installing this mpeg2enc or the other two ones, because the file for mpeg2enc is named intel, but i don't have an intel mac. Could that be the problem?

The mpv or m2v file is a temporary file. You should wait either for a "Finished" message, or an error. In the first case, the mpv file should have been replaced by the final mpg file. In the second, the error message could help understanding what went wrong.
