Hi, I am new and not sure that my post is in good place. Anyway, I have Samsung DVD-R135 made in China and I am in Canada. Does anybody can help me how to play DVD from Europe on this player?
    Thanks

    Hi, and welcome to VideoHelp!
Googling for "samsung dvd-r135 hack" gave 318 hits. Tried any of those suggestions?

    Canada is NTSC
    Europe is PAL
A region code hack alone may not solve the PAL - NTSC problem.

Well, it could be, not all are as knowledgeable as you and me, and simply don't know or care about region codes until faced with a disk that refuses to play?
Anyho - The solution (if the player isn't hackable) is simply to back it up to DVD-R, as all(?) rippers remove the region code protection by default.

I know, I know, I should check DVD recorder before I buy, if can play my Europe disks. I have been told: of course you can play all DVD on this recorder.
Mats, please give little more explanation what you mean: “The solution (if the player isn't hackable) is simply to back it up to DVD-R, as all(?) rippers remove the region code protection by default”. Go back to store? Shop?
Anyway, thanks so much all of you.

I mean: Make a backup copy of your wrong region code disk. The backup will be region free, so should play if it's not also is using a TV system your player can't handle. (Many Region 2 disks are PAL, while Canada use NTSC, it seems - not many NTSC players handle PAL disks.)
