Everyone loves their mac apple, their ipod, and their VW bug. It's all crap. Oh yes, I know - but apple is da bomb for desktop publishing. Who cares! Please. Why is windows and PCs still so dominant? Oh yeah, cause Microsoft is evil and has the market cornered. That excuse is crap. Go show your goatee to someone who cares.

Why am I mad? Because I'm tired of hearing why AMD and apple are the best. The new core2 duo processors kill AMD - PERIOD!

I'm glad that 99% of software runs on PCs. I like em' better anyway.

Oh well, off to starbucks for another java in my VW. Hey, I can bring my mac and do up new designs for for my ultra progressive goatee!

Yeah, I know. I was just adding AMD in there too. I don't really have any thing against AMD though. Intel processors are just my preferred choice.

I just can't stand apple and all that goes with them sometimes. Who would name a computer after an apple anyways. OK, yes I know that one fell on Issac Newtons head, but for God's sake; Why is a logo of a tree fruit so cool? IT"S NOT. I don't want an apple logo on any of my stuff. No way!

I'm so sick of Macs, granola, goatees, horned rimed glasses, VWs, Ipods, and everything in between. GOD SAVE US ALL!

"apple is da bomb for desktop publishing"

This is a leftover from 20-25 years ago. It's not only a myth these days, but an outright false claim too. More and more design/image/publishing software is being created on Windows first, and Mac gets the port. Sometimes Mac doesn't get anything.

    - By the late 80s, you could do pretty decent desktop publishing on a 286 with PageMaker 1.0 and Arts & Letters 1.0 in Windows 2.11, with a postscript laser printer.
    - As the Wintel boxes surpassed Apple in on-screen image quality in the early 1990s, systems were getting dual-development, or at very least Windows was getting ports.
    - With the 2000s coming in, we saw more and more protest to how Apple kept fiddling around with their OS. It was almost a nuisance to create software for it, because it seems to break every year with new OS upgrades. Windows was far more friendly and backwards-compatible, so it started to receive the most software.

Even newspapers, ad agencies and colleges have mostly switched to Windows systems. They were the major holdouts. Windows XP offered such a smooth ride that quite a few of those orgs made the switch in just the last 5 years alone.

    Get with the times.

I have nothing against hardware or operating systems. They're just tools to me. Just use the right tool for the right job. Sometimes it's Windows, sometimes it's Mac, sometimes it's neither (Sun, SGI, Linux, etc).

Some day I am gonna setup my old ADAM just for fun.

I never had a chance to play with an apple, possibly a good machine. It is just the smugness that alot of apple users tend to display that annoys me

Having both a mac and a windows laptop... I can state that I use the mac when just lounging around surfing the net, but have to use the PC for work...

To me, they are pretty equal. I could care less which one I'm using.

Well isn't it true that games are still mostly pc first and mac second? I mean how many games are written specifically for mac??

Which is actually kind of weird if you think about it. They have been cross platforming releases for decades now with the major consoles. You'll always see the madden or doom or whatever on the all of the major consoles. Except for the occasional EXCLUSIVE title that gets people to buy the specific console. But in general you can always get a lot of games on most systems.

But for the mac there just isn't the lineup. Or has that changed recently???? I know windows has always had more games so I don't know if more are being released for mac or not...

it is a f'in product called iCarta! . I just pulled the image from Google images but didn't check out the page it was from

    http://www.atechflash.com/products-icarta.html

price is around $99 so it just shows they will market anything to do with the i brand as you get muppets who actually buy this rubbish

one of my favourites is the stupidly priced speaker which is around £230 ($400) in the UK

Apple does not make that. The majority of these "Apple" products people criticize Apple for, Apple does not make them.

That's like bad mouthing Microsoft for coming up with this stupid idea.

yeah I know but that is more a novelty item than an Apple product and I initially thought it was a mock up. My favourite that I added, when I edited, was the stupidly overpriced speaker which is from Apple

funnily enough I noticed what was in that XBox type pic also
