Hey guys,
I just recently bought a new Sony VRD-MC3 DVD video recorder to transfer all the video from our old 8mm Hitachi VM-e58A camcorder. I connected the camcorder to the recorder via the A/V input cables and am trying to record on TDK 4x DVD+RW's, which have always worked fine for me. About twenty seconds into the recording process, I get the message, "Copy protection signal detected, cannot record."
This has really been frustrating me, and I can't figure out what is wrong. Copy protection from what? These are my home videos! I've tried two different RW disks but to no avail.
Help me
Thanks,
Alex T

I think I figured it out! It seems that if I set the little record-protection tab back to "rec" from "save," it works!
Will post back if anything else goes wrong!
Thanks,
Alex T
