Ok, heres the deal. I have downloaded a bunch of avi files from the net. I have been able to convert just a few to mpg format. When I try to conver the rest I get an error message about compressor=mp43. That is in avi2mpg3. In TMPGEnc it says unable to read file.
What am I missing. Is there a fix? Please HELP.
Thanks-John

Ok, I answered my own question by downloading the corect codec, but now how do I strip of the sound and convert to mpg?
Hey I am still learning..
Thanks-JC -
You can use VirtualDub (File -> Save WAV) to extract the audio from an AVI file, although I don't know why you'd want to.
