I am a relative newbie trying to use VCDEasy to burn a simple Video CD. My problem is with burning the CD. VCDEasy has CDRDAO disabled upon startup. I read in the FAQ that came with VCDEasy about the ASPI drivers, so I downloaded and ran aspichk.exe per the instructions, and it appears that no ASPI drivers are loaded (I am running Win XP). I then used aspi32.exe to try to install the drivers, but got an error saying no qualified Adaptec products were found. I then tried ForceASPI 1.7 (I ran the INSTASPI.BAT file per the instructions), but even though a DOS window opens and says the ASPI files are installed, after I reboot, aspichk still says the drivers are not installed and VCDEasy still disables CDRDAO. Am I missing something here? Will the ASPI drivers not install under WinXP?
