I have two computers and the guy who built my computer set up it up that I could access one of my hard drives on my older computer with my new one. I am a big fan of Womble, and I have been transfering files over from my new computer that I captured with my Hauppauge Card over to my older computer to edit with Womble. I was reading on the Womble website that one can edit files over a network with Womble.
I am curious is this a good idea, I know it would go with the speed of my network and due to the fact that my older computer has a slower interface, things get bottlenecked a bit.
I am in process of finding out if I can purchase a second licence from Womble so I can run it on my new computer as well. But if that is really expensive, I got thinking maybe this Network editing might work. Has anyone tried it?
I hope this is the right spot for this topic. If it isn't I appologize. Thank you in advance for any information you can give me on this topic.

I set up my Hauppauge Video Folder which is on my new computer to be shared on the network. Womble Mpeg Video Wizard which is installed on my older computer, was able to access the video files on my new computer and I was able to cut commercials out and save the file and I was able to save the new file on my older computer. I was surprised it worked so well, accessing those files over the network instead of the computer that Womble is installed on. The only slow down was when the new file was being formulated, because of the speed of my network, it added another 7 minutes to the task. Yet another reason I really like Womble Mpeg Video Wizard.
