This may make me look stupid but is there any way i can send a film via email.
I've tried copy and paste, but it will not allow me to do it.
    Thanks.

It's possible, but your mileage may vary depending on your internet connection, ISP e-mail limits, and the recipients ISP e-mail limits.

What type of file is it (wmv, mpeg, etc), and what is the size of it (data size, not length)?

You have to "attatch" the file to your e-mail and send it as a file attatchment. But listen to lumis... his list of warnings is true for those receiving the file as well as you.

Your best bet would be to put it Youtube (or something similar) and e-mail the link.

Wow. That would be impossible to do as one. The only thing I see how that would be done is to use winrar to break it up into 10mb chunks. 10mb seems to be the limit with most email. Then just send them all in seperate emails. If the person has a limit on storage space have them let you know so you can give them enough time to download them and then delete for you to send the rest of the files.

Damn, that would be around 63 emails...

you could always burn it to a cd and post it to him, or set up a peer-to-peer exchange, you can transfer files using AIM for example..
