hi, i am new to dvd editing, what i want to do is take episodial dvds like say southpark, now each vob file might contain more than one episode, say 1.2 episodes, ive been using videoredo to cut and rejoin the episodes into single vob files, however videoredo is not free, are there any programs that do the same thing that are free, or im looking for suggestions for 2 programs if there arn't any all in one. by the way this is all so i can load them into my nokia phone to watch, if that makes any difference

    thanks

Which SUPER are you talking about? SUPER, the encoder program is certainly free. Probably another 'super'.

But if you are starting with a DVD, you could use VOB2MPEG to convert the DVD to one large MPEG file. Then for a freeware editor, you might look at Cuttermaran. After all that is done, you could use SUPER, the encoder, to convert the edited MPEG files to your phones format. All freeware.

And there are other programs to do the conversions, some freeware. Look in our 'Tools' page: https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=36#36

    And welcome to our forums.
