Sorry not quite sure which forum to do this in.

I have DVD and PS2 games that i quite happily back up, store the originall and play the copy.

Wife adn I have now bought a Wii, and i am looking to play backups so the originals dont get scratched.

    anyone any ideas?

Have you considered to purchase a used version of the game you wish to play?, that way you will have two set of disks.

You need to install the Wiinja chip. Do a Google to find out more.

By the way, I found this information that could give you some clues regarding backing up a Wii game disk:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q:What type of media format will Wii use?

A:The Wii will use 12cm, dual-layered proprietary discs. The discs are anticipated to hold around 8.5 gigabytes of data. Compared to the Nintendo GameCube, which used 8cm discs capable of storing 1.5 gigabytes, Wii games may hold six times more data.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even if you could somehow be able to copy the content of the disk, you still need to burn 8.5 gigabytes to DVD, this means purchasing a new DVD writer and hunt media capable of holding 8.5 gigabytes.

After that, you also need to mod your console with a Modchip called “Wiinja”. Some knowledge of electronics is required.
