was wondering what brand of cdr i should use to burn vcd. so far i have used generic silver/blue cdr and they play, but are really bad movie quality. for some reason only cdrw seem to work fine if i burn it as vcd.
also i have a svcd TDK silver/blue cdr will play on the apex, but not on my sony... how come?
so owners of Sony DVP-NS300 tell me how did it go with your experiences. thanks =]

I have't tried this myself, but someone in this forum has said that Princo's work in the NS300

Someone else said Vivastar work, I brought 50 and they dont, at least not using EasyCD or Nero and following the burn guides http://www.vcdhelp.com/burnmpg.htm !!
Most of the posts suggest Princo and Sony CDR work but havent found any cheap enough in the U.K to try yet as I have to sneak anything I buy past budget control (my wife!)
I have tried Verbatim, Kodak and Vivastar using EasyCD and Nero at various write speeds and they dont work.
The latest post under the NS300 compatibility list http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDname=NS300&Search=Search&list=0 gives a good list, but I was wondering if it would just be easier to find some cheap bulk CDRW given these are supported, I have found a site in the U.K that sell 100 Princo CDRW 2x (slow maybe) no cases for £37 which includes delivery.
