  1. hi all


    heres my problem if i encode just 1 single file no problem

    but if i try to join 2 files the audio get knockedout of sync

    can someone please help with this problem i've messed with just about every possible setting and i can't get it

    any ideas???? i must be missing something

    That's not unusual to have problems when joining any type of video file. A lot depends on what you want to do with the file. Some videos have built in audio delays. Some programs don't read them that well. Or the video may have some sort of VBR (Variable bit rate encoding) in the audio, and that can cause problems.

    If my final destination is a DVD, I don't join videos. I let the authoring program 'join' them. A lot less sync problems that way.

    Some of the problem are that a video may play perfectly on a computer and have sync problems on a stand alone drive.

    What format (What codecs?) are your video and audio?

    And if you are trying to join videos from off the net, there is no guarantee that they were properly split. That can also cause sync problems.

    First drop them into Gspot 2.60. It will tell you a bit about your video. Check for VBR for one.

    This all is not complicated. If you start with a good video source, you should be able to get a good video output. But it often takes a bit of study.
