  1. I have problem with cetain WMV and ASF files, thei refuse to play forward in any media-player
    even thou i have the required codec
    the advice i got from a sourche was that the only soulution is to re-encode the file
    is there a guide around here to re-encode CORRECTLEY

    otherwise i will use use a converter, and shoose a random codec seens i have zero sense, and the file will become aproximly 4.47 Gb file

    Try run them trough asfbin or steeper.

    If that wont work you can reencode to a wmv again using for example windows movie maker, open file, export movie.

    the tools protested against me, seens the output files ended up on 5 kb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    but perhaps that aint weird seens windows movie maker refuse to import the file

    "The file "x".wmv is not indexed and cannot be imported"
