Can't burn Dvd-r, only Dvd-rw?

For the last couple of weeks, my TSST corp CD/DVDW TS-L532A only gives me coasters from DVD-R's. I have been using the same softwares, Nero, DVD Shrink, an CloneDVD to burn rental movies and homemade video. I also using the same media, Sony and Philips DVD-R's. The burning is always successful, no errors whatsoever, but when I put the burned DVD-R's back into the drive, it gives me messages like, insert a disc or the disc's format is not recognized by windows. I have tried different speed settings still no good. Dvd players can't play these burned DVD-R's either.I also defrag the drive. I try to burn with DVD-RW's and CD-R's, there is no problem and these discs can be played in my computers and DVD players. So the only problem is that the drive can't no longer burn DVD-R's (more than 10 coasters.) I uninstalled all the buring softares and uninstalled the driver, there is still no luck. Please help.
