I would like to create a photo album of digital pictures (jpeg to be converted to Mpeg2) on a vcd or dvd. This would be used for playback on my Television using Panasonic dvd player. I have the new Sony Vaio with the DVD burner. Does anyone know of a software application that can help me?

  3. I have been using the Nero 5 to make slide shows for the dvd player. I used a cd-r not a dvd and it works fine but you might have to test it first and see if it works or not. Some standalone players might not take the disc. When you open the nero, go to "compile" then "other cd formats", and finally "video cd". On the upper left you will see the cd-i option (click on this) and in the next column use the cd-i image rtf. After doing this simply drag and drop and you can set the time the slide appears (mine is set to infinite). After burning put it in the player and use the remote control to skip through the photos. See if you can download it to try it before you buy it. I know when the limit runs out on mine I definitely will purchase it. Good luck

  4. What is the resolution of the picture? (dpi) Is there a limit/standard for the picture to display correctly on TV?

    Thanks.

  5. I have a bunch of 640X480 digital that I took at the last Little League World Series (I am from Williamsport, Pa. and take vacation to take photos for LL International) and they seemed to work ok on my screen. I think that if they were lower than this and running them at full screen they will look blocky. My photo cd from the world series was over 1100 photos.
