Hello,
I have a spare Dell DVD Drive / CD Recorder (I don't have the model number with me). I was thinking about selling it on eBay. But I want to make sure that I list all of the laptops that the drive is compatable with.
Is there a place I can find this kind of information out? I check Dell's website, and none of their documentation says what different laptops the drive will work on.
Thanks!
Chris

Many of the OEM versions of notebook drives have custom firmware versions. Although they may work on other vendor's machines they also may not.
This is a very murky area. You may wish to check the forum for the actual drive manufacturer on
www.cdfreaks.com
Also other drive makers may require different mounting hardware than Dell.
